Kid Dynamite. Good Riddance. Dag Nasty – all of these bands have had a powerful role in the punk rock & hardcore scene since the beginnings of their existence, whether it being short lived or continually progressing. There’s a new name on the front and they’re bearing their strongest weapon, and that name is Strike Anywhere. With their debut full length out on Jade Tree Records, Strike Anywhere blend the sounds of fast melodic punk rock with a taste of that classic hardcore edge. The band musicianship is outstanding, but that focus is lost while listening to catchy and thought-provoking lyrics. This album makes you think. They cover topics such as women’s rights (Chalkine), police brutality (Sunset on 32nd), the overthrowing of corporate power (You’re Fired) and government betrayal and emptiness (Laughter In A Police State). Overall, this album is a sing-a-long, youth anthem-inspiring masterpiece. Strike Anywhere are an up-and-coming powerhouse in the political music scene.

This is a great Hardcore album from start to finish. Yeah, this and "Revolutions per Minute". when it came out, i thought it was great, but only now years later do i realize how monumental this is from what i've heard, this is a pretty damn good record. "Sunset On 32nd Street" is awesome!! haha i love how not one person has said this is anything less than good, that is very rare on this site, well done everybody we can all agree that Strike Anywhere is the shit this record is perfect. 100% This is one of my favorite albums. This helped me also get into a lot of other bands. It's perfecto I love this alblum. Got it right after it came out. In my opinion, a perfect 10. Any fan of the politcal punk/hardcore should for sure get it. Amazing. Definately one of my favorite bands r, can't wait until they release their new album later this year. This is one of the most honest and passionate albums I have ever heard. At first the sound reminded me of Good Riddance. However, I wish GR still had the edge that these guys have. Some of the most positive messages I have heard in music. Before we can change establishments we must change ourselves and follow our hearts. This message is lost in 99% of the music we listen today. these guys are really, really good Strike Anywhere rocks. BEST HXC/PUNK ALBUM I'VE EVER BOUGHT!!!! This album is THE shit!! Strike Anywhere are really going to make a name for themselves. -SaYnE GuY These guys fuck shit up.... this album is soo good Thrice aren't bad, but their music didn't seem to stay interesting after listening to their disc 'Identity Crisis' for very long. Not a bad band, though. These guys rock! This album really good. They remind me a little of another band called Thrice who are melodic hardcore. But I have to say that Thrice is still better, go check em out. fucking great... gues who's going to see them with as friends rust this month... oh yeah Wow, someone else familiar with the Inquisition family tree. Thomas (the singer) of Strike Anywhere used to be in a band called Inquisition, along with some guys who went on to form Ann Berreta and River City High. Didn't this band used to be called the movielife or something? yeah, this is a pretty decent cd.... pretty decent as in fuckin amazing!!! holy shit. fucking incredible live show too Wow i should get this cd. I love this site. It really helps me find some now good music. i would say this is one of the best political punk records ever. seriously. this band is just amazing. i haven't liked a new punk record this much in years... i would say this is the best album of the year - great band, great people. This album is definitely amazing. Fans of Good Riddance, Kid Dynamite, 88, or Rise Against should check this out. While you're at it, check out their EP, "Chorus Of One". It will also rock your ass. RVA, these guys make me proud to call it home. Thomas is one of the coolest dudes you will ever meet. No rockstar-idus. Wow!!!,hands down some of the best punk thats out right now,go buy this and be prepared. Rad album. These guys rock i definitely agree. this is the album of the year on my list. i had high expectations for this band after hearing their 6 song EP. this left me no doubt that this is one of the premier bands out today. album of the year. the end. |
